Sławomir Obidziński

President of the Management Board

Sławomir Obidziński combines the expertise of an experienced manager with theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of the broadly defined power and mining industry. He graduated from the Faculty of Mining at the University of Science and Technology in Kraków, and completed postgraduate studies in business management at the University of Economics in Katowice and in banking at the Cracow University of Economics. He gained knowledge on the power and mining industry while holding various posts in several companies. His professional career began in the Czeczott Coal Mine. Later he worked for fifteen years in SGS Polska sp. z o.o. (branch of a Swiss holding SGS S.A., headquartered in Geneva), where he successively performed the functions of Office Manager, Regional Director and Mineral Industry Director. From 2007 he was associated with Węglokoks Capital Group. Until 2014 he performed the function of the President of the Management Board in Nadwiślańska Spółka Energetyczna sp. z o.o. in Brzeszcze. Later he managed the company Węglokoks Energia sp. z o.o., and in June 2016 he became the President of the Management Board of Węglokoks S.A. In 2012 he completed the Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) programme at the Institute of Economic Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, followed by the Executive Doctor of Business Administration (EDBA) programme two years later.

 

Tomasz Heryszek

Commercial Vice-President of the Management Board

Tomasz Heryszek has been combining a professional and academic career for more than 20 years. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Organisation and Management at the Silesian University of Technology and the Collegium of Management and Finance of the Warsaw School of Economics. In 2005 he defended his doctoral dissertation at the Warsaw School of Economics. He took part in the Executive MBA programme at the Institute of Economic Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences. For many years he has been performing functions in the management boards and supervisory boards of various companies and economic organisations. He specialises in strategic management in the manufacturing and services sector, as well as strategic analyses and research on the effectiveness of marketing and consumption tools. He was successfully responsible for Efficient Consumer Response, the creation and implementation of strategies, as well as the selling and marketing of brands in many B2B and B2C markets. An author and co-author of books, monographs and articles related to management and marketing. He has participated in many trainings and conferences on management, marketing and consumption. Associate professor at the University of Silesia and WSB University. Member of the Polish Scientific Society of Marketing in Poznań.

 

Jarosław Jędrysek

Vice President of the Management Board

Jarosław Jędrysek is an experienced manager and a specialist in the field of management within the mining industry and the financial sector. He graduated from the Faculty of Economy and Production Organisation and the Faculty of Trade, Transport and Services at the Academy of Economics in Katowice. His professional career began in ING Bank Śląski, where he held, among other posts, the position of Branch Director. In the meantime, he completed postgraduate studies in accounting and taxation, as well as in commercial bank operations. In 2002 he completed the MBA (Master of Business Administration) programme at the Warsaw School of Administration and Management. In 2006 he became Financial Director and representative of the Management Board in Ore Enrichment Plant, Division of KGHM Polska Miedź SA. In 2009-2016 he managed the finances in the coal mines of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa (Zofiówka, Jas-Mos) as the Director of the financial office of the company. Before being appointed for the present position, he performed the function of Financial Director in KGHM Polska Miedź in the Rudna Mine Division.

 

Krzysztof Mikuła

Capital Group Vice-President of the Management Board

Krzysztof Mikuła is an experienced manager, lawyer and member of the local government. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Silesia in Katowice. He completed postgraduate management studies based on the MBA structure at the Warsaw School of Economics. At the beginning of his career, he was involved in local government activity. As a Member of the Polish Sejm (2005-2007) he took effective measures to hand over Silesian public benefit corporations to the local government. In 2010-2014 he performed the function of the Vice-President, and later the President of the company TBS Katowice. He worked there on the concepts of building rental apartments with the possibility of gradually acquiring the ownership, and coordinated the preparation and execution of one of the first social housing investments in Poland, financed by the issuance of bonds. From December 2014 to September 2015 he performed the function of the Deputy Mayor of Katowice, where he supervised matters related to spatial planning, architecture, construction, city development and transport. In June 2016 he became the Capital Group Vice-President in Węglokoks S.A.
